Podium Foundation Receives Donation from Wasatch Community Foundation

Podium Racing, launched in late 2023, is a high performance multisport coaching company focused on providing a wide range of services to help athletes reach their full potential. Part of Podium Racing’s mission is to support the development of junior, elite and adaptive athletes through the nonprofit Podium Foundation.

The Wasatch Community Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Podium Foundation to support adaptive athletes. This generous contribution will help Podium Foundation purchase equipment such as recumbent bikes and handcycles, empowering physically and neurodiverse athletes.

“This is such a huge need for us! Almost all of our athletes need recumbent bikes or handcycles in order to participate in triathlons” said Shannon Clawson, Podium Racing’s Head Strength & Adaptive Athlete Coach. “Thanks to this generous donation, I have been able to purchase between 4-6 pieces of adaptive equipment as well as a trailer to store them in and transport them to the national race each summer. Our needs are ongoing as we are adding athletes to our roster every year.”

Kristin Bunnell, the Wasatch Community Foundation Business Manager stated that, “The Wasatch Community Foundation is thrilled to collaborate with and support the Podium Foundation by this monetary contribution. This donation aims to facilitate the acquisition of outdoor recreation equipment, furthering the Podium Foundation's mission to empower adaptive athletes in the Heber Valley. This endeavor harmonizes with the Wasatch Community Foundation's Recreation Pillar, which strives to bridge the gap between individuals in need and those eager to offer enriching opportunities.”

Podium Foundation is committed to the development of junior, elite and adaptive athletes. For more information, reach out to pcgfoundation@podiumcoachinggroup.com.
