Podium Racing Announces Official Partnership with Nix

Nix Biosensors will provide their cutting edge hydration biosensing technology to the first supertri franchise team as the official hydrationsensor partner.

Old Saybrook, Connecticut— August 14, 2024 Podium Racing, a leading triathlon coaching and racing organization, and the first team in supertri’s new franchise ownership model, is thrilled to announce its partnership with Nix, the leading provider of cutting-edge hydration monitoring technology. Podium athletes will integrate Nix’s professional group biosensing platform, Nix Pro, into their training routines for the full season in order to optimize performance and increase safety under hot weather conditions.

This strategic partnership solidifies Nix’s commitment to partnering with industry leaders to provide athletes and coaches with seamless access to comprehensive data for optimizing performance and hydration strategies. The Nix Hydration Biosensor, designed to provide real-time hydration data, will play a pivotal role in enhancing the team's understanding of their athletes' individual and unique hydration needs, enabling them to make data-driven decisions to achieve peak performance. Nix Pro’s group interface allows coaches to monitor sweat metrics of the athletes and make informed interventions in the moment, as well as monitor for trends among the athletes under varying conditions.

Podium athletes, of which seven are Olympians, including Leo Bergere who took Bronze in Paris, often train and compete in climates that are hot and humid. The impacts of these conditions can easily lead to dehydration and poor performance. At just 2% dehydrated, athletes can lose up to 20% performance. Nix Pro prevents athletes from reaching or exceeding this threshold with its innovative sweat sensing technology and app.

"We are thrilled to welcome Nix as a partner & supplier. Allowing our athletes to access critical insights into their hydration levels will fundamentally change how they train and race while also giving our coaches better insights into the drivers (and limiters) of athlete’s performance” said Podium Racing CEO, John Anthony.

“Podium Racing has come onto the triathlon scene very quickly and, as part of the supertri family, promises to be a force in the growth of the sport.” Said Meridith Cass, CEO of Nix. ”We are thrilled to support Podium Racing and Podium Adaptive athletes to achieve peak performance through bespoke hydration strategies based on their personal biochemistry.”
