Amy Cymerman
Head Run Coach
USAT - Level 1 Coach
M.A. Higher Education & Adult Learning
Amy Cymerman is a multisport coach and Podium Racing’s head run coach, leaning on experience gained through competing in track and field at Grand Valley State University. During her short time spent in West Michigan, Amy accumulated 8x NCAA DII All-American Honors and 2x National Titles (indoor 5k, outdoor 10k). When the collegiate track season concluded, Amy applied her knowledge of run training and biomechanics to various NIKE cross country camps as a coach and camp counselor.
Prior to running, Amy was no stranger to endurance training and high performance racing having competed in Nordic skiing (biathlon), cross country running, swimming and some dabbling in speed skating. This stamina and affinity for logging long training hours has paved the way for a career as a professional triathlete. Since starting non draft triathlon in 2021, Amy has achieved 8 professional podium finishes.
Alongside competing as a triathlete she also coaches multisport athletes and is an Academic Coach at Pikes Peak State College. While not training or coaching, Amy calls the “West” her home, traveling around in a camper van and riding gravel bikes with partner and fellow Podium Racing Coach Robbie Deckard. They are always accompanied by their fur children: Fudge and Pre (yes - like run legend Steve Prefontaine :) ) who, of course, vehemently support their outdoor training activities.
